When I see what is becoming of the place I knew growing up I have to say give back my America. No I am not talking about the town I grew up in, although that has become part of it, through no real fault of its own. Through the years it has shown the tells of time, you see in this country you can tell the state of the economy by the small towns faster than looking at stacks of data, and statistics. The small towns reflect the conditions first.
I was asleep as most of the country was until,
November 2000, when our government was stolen from us. And as when you awake from a long sleep we were groggy. It was not until March 2003, when more and more of us wiped the sleep from our eyes to see that we were going down the path of no return, and this administration was cutting the path. Read on>>>
I like most Americans was setting in front of my television watching the attack on Afghanistan, when the news reports started to slip stories of Iraq into there broadcast. After a week of the ever growing mentions of a man and a country that we had hardly heard anything from or about in 12 years it was there again. Now I didn't jump up and say ah-ha, but had a unsettled feeling that we were about to see the Battle shift.
Trying to believe what was being put before me on the nightly news, I started to do some research for myself, over the internet. I came across maps and data that proved my unsettled feelings to be right. An article that I had read out of curiosity mentioned something about a think tank called PNAC, at this time I really didn't give it a second thought. As time went on I began to here more and more about the PNAC think tank, and the Carlyle Group which I already had some prior knowledge of, and soon I found myself researching PNAC.
At first I read other peoples views of PNAC, and parroted their thoughts. So I decided to read the PNAC agenda, and the letters to persons in power in the government.
When I read the letters to Bill Clinton, and their displeasure of his handling, or should I say not handling of Iraq, and North Korea, it clicked.
On Jun 3 1997, PNAC post its Statement of Principles. This is the public's knowledge of PNAC's existence. Although there are traces of its beginning in 1992 in the Pentagon in a smaller capacity, but most of the same members.
January 26 1998, PNAC sends President Clinton a letter voicing their concern over what they say is a eroding situation in Iraq. And tell him how to handle it.
On May 29th 1998 PNAC's members sent a letter to Newt Gingrich and Trent Lott, voicing there displeasure with President Clinton's disregard to suggestions on how to handle the Iraq situation. In the letter they suggest that they, do what is needed to ensure that congress takes the necessary steps to see that the interest of the USA, is taken care of in the Middle East.
During this time starting slightly before the PNAC Statement of Principles, evidence is being put together to Impeach Bill Clinton.
Now the reason I bring all of this up is to point out that Bush in my opinion is about to take steps to move on Iran and, or Syria.[Who will support Iran in a military clash.] To achieve this the military must grow more in its active member size.
Now knowing that PNAC is a powerful force in the foreign policy of this country, the letter sent to the US Congress on January 28, 2005,Letter they all but come right out and say that there should be legislation drawn up to reinstate the draft.
Dear Senator Frist, Senator Reid, Speaker Hastert, and Representative Pelosi:
The United States military is too small for the responsibilities we are asking it to assume. Those responsibilities are real and important. They are not going away. The United States will not and should not become less engaged in the world in the years to come. But our national security, global peace and stability, and the defense and promotion of freedom in the post-9/11 world require a larger military force than we have today. The administration has unfortunately resisted increasing our ground forces to the size needed to meet today's (and tomorrow's) missions and challenges.
So we write to ask you and your colleagues in the legislative branch to take the steps necessary to increase substantially the size of the active duty Army and Marine Corps. While estimates vary about just how large an increase is required, and Congress will make its own determination as to size and structure, it is our judgment that we should aim for an increase in the active duty Army and Marine Corps, together, of at least 25,000 troops each year over the next several years.
I know that I am going to be called a Conspiracy Theory Nut over this , but my gut was right once. The administration is pushing Iran, and Bush said that military force is not off the table, Fox News, tonight on the Beltway Boys, said that Bush, when ask yesterday about Iran, and military action, said that if it is called for we will not hesitate. Bush also said, Israel is a strong ally, and friend in the Middle East, and we will come to their aid. Fox is pushing for war with Iran. No Shit! Also God help me for even watching FOX!
