I came across
this video on
YouTube. Narrated by a soldier returned from Iraq, it reflects on his Iraq war experience. This short film won the War and Peace Award in the 6th Media That Matters Film Festival. I think everyone should watch it and forward it on to friends.
Here is an excerpt from http://www.mediathatmattersfest.org/...:
"While the overseas experiences of these men and women have been well documented, their experiences returning home have received less attention. I became interested in telling the story of an average soldier, one who enlisted in the Army for idealistic reasons, served diligently, and returned home quietly, without any particular accolades or physical wounds. This was the soldier overlooked by the nightly news, the soldier who was expected to reintegrate smoothly into civilian life."
Video sharing website like Google Video, IFilm (acquired by Viacom), and YouTube are rapidly gaining popularity among young people. According to
Alexa, YouTube is now the 15th most visited site in the US, it was the 200th back in January. I wouldn't be surprise if 5 years from now people will be watching TV off the internet... Anyway, I will probably upload couple gun violence ads on there.
Oh, here is another award winning animation on Global Warming to share with your friends:
