Sorry about the brief diary here, i guess that's kind of a no-no. But I think this has been an issue of late. As democratic party leadership struggles to find their voice on Iraq, there is still the matter of the fact that some prominent democratic party leaders voted "yes" on IWR. It has been argued, pretty convincingly, that Kerry's IWR vote hurt him very badly in the 2004 campaign. Either because it turned off anti-war folks in our base or because it muted all of his criticisms of the war itself during the campaign.
Normally diaries are a forum by which one injects their own opinions into ongoing debate. That's not my intent here. My intent is just to find out how imperative it is within the netroots for democrats to apologize before regaining credibilty within the eyes of the netroots.
So the question goes like this: Do you think Democratic Party Leaders who voted Yes on IWR should make a public statement of apology for that vote???
UPDATE: IWR = Iraq War Resolution.
