I'm going to forgo the theatrics, but rather I have a very simple, straightforward vow to share.
"I will support no Senator for higher office, who does not openly support Sen. Russ Feingold's censure of President Bush."
The Republicans aren't the only bums that need throwing out, I fear. Kos and Co. (front pagers) have woken up to that fact concerning a couple of Dem Bums already. Time to wise up further.
Disclaimer:
In the unfortunate event that any such Senator should become our nominee for the Presidency in 2008 or any year, I personally am of a mind right now to not support and possibly not even vote for that person. How could I support someone for that office, when they hold that office to so low a standard? To no standard at all, effectively? But you don't need to second that to take the pledge. It concerns primary donating and voting only, although I welcome support for further boycots in the comments.
And:
For the one billionth time, I have never voted for Ralph Nader, nor am I a blind idealist as a perusal of my past diaries should bear out. Not only that, but I am a pragmatist. But being a pragmatist doesn't mean batting for the other team. And supporting any Senator who has not stood with Feingold for President, is batting for the other team. I'm quite certain of that.
