Bill SCHNEIDER on inside politics had a story rehashing a story in today USA Today and covered in the diaries
Here,
last night.
He attacked Dean for supporting intervention in Kosovo to stop Genocide, but not supporting the war in Iraq on humanitarian grounds. Schneider uses Bush's sound bite from the State of the Union on Saddam killing his own people to imply that Iraq situation rose to the level of Systematic Genocide by Bosnia in Kosovo.
Then he attacks Dean for being inconsistent.
He also digs out a clip of Bush in August 1999 stammering, saying he supported the intervention in Kosovo, and therefore Bush was consistent.
This is notable because the clip was from August, after the war ended. Prior to the war and during the war, then Gov. Bush refused to comment on the conflict one way or another, even though he was the frontrunner for the nomination. That's why he was stammering. He was sensitive to the fact that someone would bring up his prior silence. Of Course Not Bill Schneider. And that's why he couldn't find an earlier clip, because none exists.
To finish it off he says "this doesn't make Dean a hypocrite, no it makes him a Democrat"
Now who's being partisan now?
This the best e-mail I could find, if you can find better please post.

Why are they saying such terribly Angry Things?
Why do they Hate Dean and Democrats?
