Today on Crossfire Paul Begala was whooping some serious ass going after 'Tricky' Dick Cheney on the issue of Halliburton overcharging US taxpayers. Begala also brought up the fact that while Cheney was CEO of Halliburton during the mid-1990's, the company was found to have sold oil equipment to Saddam. Begala quoted a report from a July 2001 Washington Post article.
After Begala quoted from that article, the right wing guest Cliff LeMay was practically speechless. All LeMay could do was offer that incoherent points that it was okay for Cheney to have sold equipment to Saddam because we used to be allies. Uh no,this was not the 1980s when it happened this was 1994 after the Gulf War when Saddam was our enemy.
Folks if we hammer Cheney and his Halliburton connections and misdealings this will be a winning issue next year.
More on this later......
