On one side are the progressives, on the other the moderates. Both sides think they know what is best for the Dem party. Lets split the party in 2006 and find out which wing of the party is right. That way we will know which way will produce the best results for our presidential run in 2008.
Lets split up the congress and senate races and run progressives in half and moderates in the other half. I think it would be very insightful to see who can win under that situation.
The Dean types have a lot of energy and money and I can see how a ember there would think that going left is the way to win. I disagree personally but lets find out.
The Clinton DLC types may not have as many volunteers or money but their message is more acceptable to America IMO.
I think that the 2006 race is very important but 2008 is probably more important. We need to get our act together by 2008. Spliting the party for 2006 may be one way to find out if going right or going left is better advice.
For the record I don't mean splitting the party in a literal sence just splitting up terrority and letting the progressives work for their kind of candidate and moderates for theirs etc.
The winner gets the party in 2008...
What do you all think?
