Well, aside from the thing on his head. The rest...I can't complain about:

I don't think he'd beat Kennedy in the "why I want to spread flower seeds all over parched Africa" essay category though. He'd probably beat Kerry in the swimsuit competition.
Did you know that his partner is Doug Hattaway, who was a major part of the Gore campaign in 2000? They've been together for about 10 years now.

Seriously, instead of using a diary to mention a depressing poll, I just wanted to plug yet again:

They're all doing good work in Massachusetts. I don't care for all of NGLTF's positions on issues but they are doing such crucial grassroots work that HRC seems to ignore.
And I also wanted to mention the Lesbian & Gay Victory Fund, which works hard to get gay and lesbian candidates elected in every state, so they can have a voice and a face on issues that affect their (our) lives. I can't imagine how a bad situation like the anti-gay amendment in Georgia would have been even worse if not for Karla Drenner risking her career by standing up against this hateful piece of legislation. The Victory Fund was a major help to her, to Tammy Baldwin, and to many others.
