And I'd have a hard time voting for Edwards or Lieberman, too.
In October 2002, these 3 Senators did not do their duty under the United States Constitution.
It is the prerogative of the Senate to declare war. It is one of the Senates two greatest prerogatives. Yet these three men chose to give up their responsibility to the executive branch under a different party. Not all of their colleagues had the same reaction: Bob Graham got it right; Ron Paul got it right, and he's a Republican.
In short, I believe that these men all had an obligation to vote against the resolution, whether or not they supported the Iraq war.
Subsequent events have proven this out. And, with the records of Graham et al as evidence, there is no excuse for not realizing their duty at the time.
