Both ABC and the Washington Post tried like hell in their news reports on this poll (see link for Wash Post story) to hide that Kerry is significantly ahead of Bush, but the data is there for all to see. In head to head, Kerry leads Bush 53-45, with Nader included the lead over Bush is 48-44 with Nader at 6.
With this poll, and Kerry's present 3 pt lead in the Rasmussen tracking poll and significant lead in the Gallup Poll from a few weeks ago, I think it's safe to say now that the recent AP poll giving Bush a 10 pt lead over Kerry and that was giving all of us heartburn appears to be a real outlier.
Remember that the ABC/Post poll has traditionally given Bush the highest approval ratings (even higher than Fox) and the best head to head polling vs Kerry or other Dems.
Key results:
Bush job approval: Thumbs up--47% Down--52%
War on terror: Kerry leads 48-47 over Bush
Honesty and trustworthiness: Kerry leads 52-39 over Bush
Great news!
