I just saw the frontline program for the first time, and it has changed my worldview. I am not normally a conspiracy nut, though I am fond of admitting how much I do not know. I never feel empowered enough to boldly say "this is how it happened." People have agendas, etc.
But at this moment, I believe Bush and the higherups around him knew about 9/11 beforehand. I believe that Bush helped it happen more directly than many of us realize. Think about it:
Why try to stifle O'Neil whenever he was getting close to Bin Laden?
Why try now to claim that there was no new threat emerging in 2001, despite mountains of evidence to the contrary? (talk about a guilty conscience!)
How did BushCo., who wasn't the least interested in Bin Laden prior to 9/11, and whose judicial dept. floundered on that issue without O'Neil, suddenly find out everything they needed to know about every hijacker and Al Qaeda and Bin Laden?
Why does the Bin Laden family have such prominent ties to the Bush family?
When Bin Laden was a famous "terrorism financier" many years ago (a fact evidently well-known in the FBI), was his money partially due to his family's close ties to the Bush family?
And then here's something I need clarification on: I keep hearing about Bush's reaction to the news of the towers; He seemed kind of expressionless; kept reading a book in front of a class; he didn't really react as if the news were what it was. Weird! Why act like nothing's happening??????
