and recent polls showing Fletcher extending his lead in Kentucky and Barbour leading in Mississippi, it is beginning to look like the Republicans may win all three contested Southern Governor's races this fall.
True, these races are still reasonably close and all of them are in states Bush carried in 2000, but it will be damned disappointing if the Democrats can't win at least one of these.
Coming off the stinging recall in California, how long must we wait for good news, and when can we expect the electorate to get fed up with the Republicans?
Of course, kos presented us with good news from Arkansas today (high approval marks for Senators Lincoln and Pryor...mediocre grades for Governor Huckabee and George W. Bush), but in the places where elections are taking place this fall--the prognosis isn't good. sigh.
