Welcome to the alternate reality of the Media Research Center.
The MRC is one of two organizations founded by the head of the Republican Noise Machine's percussion section, R. Brent Bozell III. (The other is the Parents Television Council, whose claim to fame is spamming the Federal Communications Commission with complaints about over alleged indecency on the air.)
The MRC has just released a report entitled The Ten Worst Media Distortions of Campaign 2004.
Here they are:
- Dan Rather's Forgery Fiasco
- Ignoring, Then Attacking, the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth
- Pounding the Bush National Guard Story
- Spinning a Good Economy Into Bad News
- The Networks' Outrageous Convention Double Standard
- Swooning Over Edwards' Image, Ignoring His Liberalism
- CBS's Byron Pitts Promotional Kerry Coverage
- CBS Promotes Fears of a New Military Draft
- Misrepresenting the 9/11 Commission on Iraq/Al-Queda Links
- Equating New Terrorism Warning to LBJ's "Gulf of Tonkin"
The only surprise is that "Networks Spin Away Bush's Debate Victories" isn't on the list.
