OK, so I don't really believe in the headline I wrote. The World Cup is not pro-terrorist. As a matter of fact, I cannot recall having more fun watching soccer matches than I have during this year's event.
But I wonder how long before the Michelle Malkins and Anne Coulters of the world begin to scream about the political leanings of the Final Four in World Cup 2006???
Let me make the argument for Michelle and Anne, so they don't have to do too much research. Poor little things don't really like to fact-check anyway.

This afternoon (afternoon for those of us in a REAL time zone, not like those commies who actually think Greenwich Mean Time is important), Portugal used penalty kicks to defeat England 0-0 (how do you LOSE a game that is 0-0?) and France obviously paid off the officials to allow them to defeat Brazil 1-0 (and really, does a team deserve to win when they can only score 1 goal, especially when you consider all the times they've surrendered to resisting forces. Paging karma, can we get a recount on these French players?)

OK, I need a shower after imitating the harpie duo.
But seriously, look at the final four teams in the World Cup.....
France - do the neocons need a reason to hate them?
Germany - megadittoes. They refused to support our war against Saddam.
Italy - left the "Coalition of the Willing" a year ago
Portugal - withdrew their troops from Iraq in 2005.
Let the countdown begin....I bet that Coulter attacks by Monday morning.
