Two so-called Christian groups have issued a press release inviting supporters to meet them at Michael Schiavo's house on Easter to "deliver roses" to him. The press release includes the link to a map showing the location of Schiavo's home.
The utter ugliness and mean-spiritedness of these particular so-called Christians. Do they honestly think anyone is going to take this press release at face value? Certainly I am not the only one who views this as an attempt to harrass and intimidate Michael Schiavo.
What's the word I'm looking for to describe this? Something with a pretty veneer ("let's deliver roses and pray for him") that barely covers the underlying nasty intent. And they know it, and relish it. It gives them a sick sense of pleasure. Certainly there's a good word out there for this.
Aren't there plenty of other venues where such a prayer event could be held? The hospice? A church? A community center? One of their own homes? Why does it need to be outside of Michael Schiavo's front door? Aren't there other ways to send flowers to someone? Any person with one whit of common sense knows the answer to that, and understands fully what is really going on here.
