Robert Novak in his latest column suggests Massahusetts Governor Mitt Romney might decline a re-election bid next year in hopes of becoming president.
A snip from the article:
Romney did not flatly reveal his future intentions, according to sources who were present. But he did say a presidential race would be difficult if he were concentrating on a 2006 campaign for governor and were still in that office in 2007-08
It is just me or does anyone else think a person who is going to have trouble winning in their homestate shouldnt run for president?? That's what it really is about IMO. It isnt Romney being in office in 07 and 08. Clinton I, believe, had an election in 1990, two years before he ran for president. Same with Bush in 98. The real story is Romney's low approvals. So what do you guys think of his chances for president, and for re-election as governor???
