I just read this article in the Baltimore Sun:
Kerry sees 'great potential of draft' if Bush wins. It reminded me that this guy is good -- knows how to play politics. He's sticking it to the B/C team -- playing
offense, forcing them to repeat their denials.
Here's Yahoo's version of the story:
Kerry Warns Draft Possible if Bush Wins.
Kerry is a good politician because he knows how important it is to be on the offense. This issue is potent for him becasue a lot of parents, college students, other young people, etc. are smart enough to look at our present course and know that we can't keep doing it forever without a real draft, not just a backdoor draft. We need to push this hard and strong: Bush's policies are going to make a
draft inevitable, no matter how much he denies it.
