I'm not sure who Kerry will choose.
My sense is that he will choose someone who is not currently on the A list right now.
It will generate buzz, and profiles of him will float around the networks for a week to 10 days after the convention if the timing is right.
Any person suggested has had to have run as a candidate for a major political office with a party with national recognition (Dem, Rep, Green, Reform).
I'm looking for the most nonsensical ideas.
I will argue for former Green Party presidential candidate Jello Biafra (he contested the nomination with Nader in 2000).
He's articulate, charismatic, and a great poet.
What's more, I've seen him get in the face of uptight anti-free speech types (Tipper Gore at the height of the PMRC crap in the 1980s).
In the debates, he will call Cheney a lying sack of shit, and he'll prove it.
It won't happen, but it fun to imagine.
