Since we're not in Iraq because of 9/11, or because of WMDs, or because we're going to turn it into a shining beacon of democracy for the Middle East... what
is the reason we're in Iraq again?
Oh, I remember. The people were suffering under the iron grip of a dictator, and we were going to liberate them and make their lives better.
And we see how ungrateful they are! We shut down their presses, destroy their infrastructure, bomb their mosques, outlaw their political leaders, let criminals loot their country -- and they get all neglectful about thanking us for freeing them from tyranny.
Again. Why are we in Iraq? To free them from tyranny, right? Why are we acting like tyrants? Why are we bemoaning the need to act like tyrants? Why are the people of Iraq our enemy, if we went in to liberate them from their hated leader?
