There's a diary about the death of the Plame coverage started. One of the causes about the disappearance of news stories is the emergence of other news stories that are
easier to cover but reach the same amount of interest. It's both a human flaw (laziness) and a corporate goal (better reward to cost ratio).
As that as a starting point, I see a real risk of the Scott Peterson trial coverage hogging resources (time) that should be used for something more important. Frankly, almost ANYTHING is more important that the continuing wall-to-wall coverage of this trial, but specifically the 2004 elections.
Anybody have any opinions on this? And more importantly, suggestions that work on what can be done about this?
