68% precincts reporting.
Clinton 54 37
Obama 46 31
Clinton has "grit", says a Clinton staffer. Well great, she may have that. I'll never deny that. What she doesn't have is the math (as much as they may hate people pointing that out). Oh, and "Obama doesn't seem to win the battleground states".
Well, how about, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Virginia, and Maine? Sheesh.
So seriously, what is Clinton's path to the nomination?
Meanwhile, the LA Times writes:
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's victory in the Pennsylvania primary today spared her once again from a forced exit from the Democratic presidential race, but she still faces long odds in her bid to defeat Sen. Barack Obama.
Much will depend on Clinton's actual victory margin, which should become clear late tonight. A double-digit win would ensure the race moves on to the May 6 primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, and perhaps beyond.
A narrow win -- say 6 percentage points or less -- would put new pressure on Clinton to drop out of the race, even if she escaped the death blow that a Pennsylvania loss would certainly have inflicted.
We'll see what comes out of the Philly suburbs, which have yet to report.
