Okay, so Newt is announcing a run for Prez this week.
There's good news and bad news.
The good news ...my algorithm (http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze3fs8i/air/Elections.htm)considers that he's a Representative of 21 years who's been divorced twice. So, the only kind of people who could lose to him would be divorced senators like Joementum and JFK II.
The bad news ... below the fold.
The algorithm as currently considered is unclear as to the effect of the VP's marital status. It seems as if divorced VPs do not hurt the ticket. In other words, Edwards-Kerry would have done better than Kerry-Edwards (but still would have lost to W-Cheney).
So, keep the man away from VP. Let's support him for Prez.
Actually, support Giuliani for Prez. A former Mayor who was a special prosecutor against the mob and divorced twice would be the worst Presidential candidate ever fielded by any party in the history of the Republic.
We're talking "if Joementum had been the Prez nominee this past year" bad.
Really, we should find a GOP leader who has been divorced, who is Jewish, who has never been a general, university chancellor, banker, governor, or representative, and who has served as a special prosecutor. Oh, and who is actively leading a political lobbying organization and won't step down during the election.
