The Washington Post headline for this new poll
story is "Democrats Splintered on Tactics, Candidates." Surely another, arguably more valid, headline might be, "Bush vulnerable in 50-50 nation."
The poll shows, among other things, Bush running at 48% vs 47% for an unnamed Democrat. In head-to-head matchups, most of the Dems run at about 40%.
The message of the poll, says the Post, is that most voters haven't really tuned into the race yet and don't know anything about the Dem candidates. This seems fairly obvious, and readers of this blog seem to be doing their best to change that. Any other thoughts?
