The evangelizing christians have a due claim on this administration. They did "elect" him. didn't they? Their agenda is values (and mansions) and they just want to tell everyone else what to do. Controlling the judiciary for the next 40 or 50 years is really nothing when your eye is firmly fixed on eternity.
Here's an open letter to Judith Meyer who so effectively articulated the philosophy on CNN tonight:

You are forgiven and will dwell in heaven forever. You have forgiven your father for abusing you as a child but you build your TV career on the back of his story. (Does the term "dine out on it" ring a bell?).
You believe that you and your incestuous father (who recently repented to god, though not to the police) will dwell forever in heaven. You are also confident that Atheists (even those who are good, honest, thoughtful, philanthropic, loving, responsible people--just being nice "to get attention") will go to hell. Okay, I know that your God is revered Abraham for his willingness to kill his young son Issac on the alter of animal sacrifice. Let's see, our hero Abraham takes his little son up the mountain, ties him up, builds an alter, puts a fire under it, puts his little boy on the alter, pulls back the child's chin back to bare his throat, raises the knife he uses for animal sacrifice, and earns his place as one of your god's great heroes. These fathers should get along great.
Job became another of your biblical heroes when god and satan started playing games to prove who was the really big cheese. In their little game, they destroyed Job's home, took his fortune, killed his wife and children, made him sick, and left him sitting with the dogs licking his sores at the city gate. Still he would not "curse god and die." So Job becomes a hero and gets all new stuff. That's nice for Job. (Too bad for old wife and children but I guess the little people don't matter when god and the devil play chess.)
It's straight bible when you teach that we will have the poor with us always and so it is better to anoint the feet of the lord with expensive oils. I guess that means that their individual suffering in of little consequence--like Job's first wife and kids. Stupid me, I've been more concerned about human suffering and not buying expensive oils for the feet of god to secure my mansion in heaven.
So there it is. Along with my humanitarian friends and the "activist" judges, I'm clearly hell bound. I accept my fate. I'll burn in the lake while your dad chill in your heavenly mansion.
I hope you and you dad get a really big place.
