Lots of activity (as usual) with John McCain's name being floated about again as a possible VP choice. And once again, some Kossites love the idea. Me, I think it stinks for any number of reasons that I've stated in other diaries, but beyond that, I think John McCain can and should be involved in a much more important role than ineffective (because come on, if you disagree with his policies, you'd hardly want him to be effective) VP to a Democratic president.
We rag on the Democratic party all the time. "Spineless asses" pretty much sums it up. But have you seen the Republican party recently? If our party needs a spine transplant, theirs needs to be exorcised. But by whom? Not by Democrats. But if you assume that the Republican party isn't going away anytime soon, it would be much better for the country if somebody would take their party back from the wingnuts. John McCain--I want you to take your party back, so that when the Democrats lose an election, I will feel disappointment, but not be worried about the end of Western civilization.
