Yes, we have another episode of Daily Kos where a Kossack goes bravely into Free Republic territory to find out how the radical right really feels.
The Freepi take on the Virginia Governor's race. It ain't pretty, there's a lot of whining, blaming the liberal media and general cluelessness.
Here's some select quotes:
I don't understand why he focused so much on the death penalty ad.
Kaine sucks on so many other important issues like illegals, taxes, abortion, guns, affirmative action, business.
Kaine is Virginia's version of Howard Dean.
The dems will have a field day next week if a liberal like Kaine wins in New Jersey.
For all the people that say we will win if we take on illegals get out there and help out Kilgore.

Yet polling indicates that the most important issue for Virginians is education, transportation is second.
Republicans ALWAYS poll weaker than Democrats. It's the nature of polling, because Republicans actually have lives and go to work every day. Galtoid
O.K. I guess I won't have to go to work tomorrow.
Kaine is doing heavy advertising on latino TV stations. I watch two of those, Univision and Telemundo, and his commercials are really good pr for his campaign. I saw no Kilgore ads last night at all on latino TV stations. That's a pretty big voting block. Those who think latinos don't vote have never worked their precinct polls on voting day. Where are the Kilgore ads?

I guess he/she hasn't been watching the
English television stations running Kilgore's ad attacking illegal immigration. For some reason, I don't think Univision and Telemundo are the place to run ads attacking illegal immigration. I think Jerry Kilgore has written off the Hispanic demographic. Well, I have this guy to confirm my theory,
Minutemen and volunteers to the polls on Tuesday in VA!
Challenge all voters who do not provide valid ID and must sign affadavits. Illegals turn out in droves to vote Democrat, help stop the madness. With the media helping the liberals, standard Democrat cheating, and skewed polling, we need all the help we can get.
Kilgore has promised to get tough on illegal immigration and end pro-illegal government support. Kaine is more of the same - 'no ID to vote', drivers licenses, free services to illegals, etc.

I'm sorry if this person demands to see my ID while I'm in line to vote on Tuesday, I will tell him to fuck off.
I'm not a big fan of the campaign that Jerry has run, but it's important to consider how a complicit media makes it difficult for a conservative to campaign.
Kilgore seems to be floating from issue to issue in search of one that resonates with the largest number of voters. Kaine is an unconviced felon; Jerry should have focused more on Timmy's tenure of Richmond's crime lord mayor.

Yes, it does appear that all those boogiemen the Jerry Kilgore keeps bringing up is not working. Hey, let call Tim Kaine a "liberal", that will work. Won't it? Darn, Tim Kaine keeps gaining.
- The liberal mediots who have helped them.
- Disgruntled RINOs who are only in this to seek revenge because the convervative Republicans, Kilgore amongst them, dared to stand against them in the unnecessary tax increase. Make no mistake about it. Russ Potts doesn't want to be Governor. He wants revenge because he had to face an uphill primary challenge from a real conservative last time he ran for Senate. He got his wittle feewings hurt.
This will ALL be about turnout. And we have to remember that the majority of these polls are released for the specific purpose of suppressing GOP turnout.
Have we so quickly forgotten that up until 6:00 p.m. or later last November, the exit polls were telling us that Kerry was winning Virginia?
VIRGINIANS: IT IS NOT TIME TO REARRANGE THE DECK CHAIRS!
It's time to get out there for the final push. If we do, we will win.
It's just that simple.

Yes, that's what it all boils down to dirty tricks and voter turnout. And we all know it's the liberal media's fault. And moderates have no place in the GOP according to the base.
That's part of the problem!! Kaine is running ads in northern VA saying
Kilgore will raise taxes! He's spewing all kinds of lies and I do not see any
ads challenging Kaine's claims. Those ads plus having the Post as a co-
conspirator are hurting Kilgore badly. And, Kilgore should stop talking
about widening I-66. That's a hot button issue and it will not will him any
votes in Arlington. I doubt it's going to pick up that many votes in Fairfax
either because widening=years of construction. I don't think he should have
focused on that issue so much.
I am hoping that people will be scared of Kaine's face and that creepy
grin he always has on it, and that will make them vote for Kilgore.

That's odd, I've seen twice as many of those nasty Kilgore ads than Kaine ads. Polling shows that those ads were a real turn-off. And in order to get that point across, that comment was posted twice.
This is indeed bad news. But then, we know that a lot of the polling institutions are run by leftist liberals.
Virginia's main problem is that the District of Columbia is so close to the Old Dominion. I think we shoul dmove that political cesspool to an island in the Aleutians, so they can take all their leftist voters with them there - but then that would be unfair to Alaska. How about to American Samoa???

So it's all Washington DC's fault that Jerry Kilgore is falling behind in the polls?
I think Santorum should move to VA and run for the Senate in his next
election. If PA doesn't want him, I'd be THRILLED to have him.
Even more scary than the thought of Kaine winning is Ben Affleck becoming
our senator. Could he even have a chance? That prospect could keep me
awake at night.

Ummm, Rick Santorum owns a house in Loudon County. So you want Rick Santorum to challenge George Allen in a Republican primary next year? And not run for re-election in Pennsylvania next year?
Arlington wins hands-down for liberalism, but Fairfax County takes the cake
on Islamic relations issues. I will definitely give that one to your county.
I think there is an organized plot to move liberals into northern VA and
skew elections to the left. I really do. I think I read something about George
Soros taking a look at VA a while back.
Why do they target us? I am already planning to move to Loudoun (still a red county) to escape the liberalism. I refuse to leave the state!!

Boy, klva lives in a fantasy world. I didn't know I was part of the vast left wing conspiracy to destroy Virginia. I moved here for a better job.
I phone banked GOP voters yesterday for 4.5 hours and got 98% voice mail. Republicans are busy and not answering their phones for pollsters.

Maybe they screen their calls like normal people do. Answering machines and caller I.D. are the pollsters enemy.
So all Virginian Kossacks need to bring these people back to reality. Or at the very least burst their bubble, because I love to hear a conservative whine.
