Here we go.
Kerry has a seemingly safe lead. Dean is either charging fast or inching up, depending on which polls you believe. Clark and Edwards are fighting for third, or even second, depending on which poll to believe.
So it's time to guess the results and channel our inner Nostradamuses. My guesses:
Kerry 30
Dean 29
Edwards 20
Clark 15
Lieberman 5
Other 1
In my happy world, Kerry and Dean's numbers are reversed.
Update: The winner will be decided by the following formula (unless someone has a better idea):
Make people predict the percentage score for every candidate. Then take the absolute value of the actual result minus the prediction (the difference) and add all of the differences together. Then the winner is the person with the smallest number.
Everyone can tally their own results, and post them in a followup post. I don't think any one person wants to sift through hundreds of predictions to find the winner.
The winner of each contest will get a set of limited-edition 2004 Democratic Presidential candidates button set from Pop Art Politics.
The contest will run until we have a nominee. The overall winner will get a cool prize -- an autographed keepsake from our eventual nominee. (I'm sure our nominee will oblige.)
