THIS WEEKEND PROTEST THE WAR
Too long for a diary here at DKos, but I've done my best to collect as much of the information on the organized march, rally and protests for this weekend and have listed/orgainized them by CITY and ORGANIZATION in this post at democraticunderground.com.
It has been THREE YEARS of this "cakewalk." The tide is turning but we still need to show our American faces and make our voices heard. Please do something this weekend and document what you do. Spread the word. (If you have problems with A.N.S.W.E.R., or whomever, find an alternate protest, but do something!)
Post additional rally/march/protest info here. Thanks, folks! Stop the Bushit! Enough is enough!

FROM MOURNING TO RESISTANCE! 3 YEARS TOO MANY - STOP THE WAR!
Washington, DC, March, 20, 9 AM
The National Campaign for Nonviolent Resistance is organizing "From Mourning to Resistance," a March to the Pentagon on Monday, March 20, that will culminate in nonviolent direct action. It will begin with a 9 AM gathering near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The March bearing a coffin filled with names of the dead will step off at 10 AM and cross the Memorial Bridge and proceed to LBJ Memorial Grove adjacent to the Pentagon, from where nonviolent actions will commence. NCNR is inviting marchers from various antiwar groups to represent a broad spectrum of communities around the country. The march is permitted, but some participants will risk arrest by trying to deliver the coffin to Secretary of War Donald Rumsfeld or undertaking other nonviolent civil resistance actions. Please contact Max Obuszewski if you plan to be there

On March 19, 2005, over 4,000 people marched and rallied in Fayetteville, NC, on the 2nd anniversary of the war in Iraq to support military families and veterans speaking out.
On March 18 & 19, 2006, the 3rd anniversary of the war in Iraq, plan to attend events in Fayetteville NC, a critical opportunity to show support for the men and women speaking out against the war from within the Armed Forces. Real support for the troops still means that we Bring Them Home Now!
Is The Tide Turning?
Since we protested on the second anniversary of the war in Iraq, March 19, 2005, in Fayetteville, NC, a great deal has happened. While it would be glib to say the tide has turned, Bush's efforts to transform both the wider world and the US to conform to the dreams of neoconservatives have run into major obstacles.
