Just read this story on MSNBC about the court blocking the pollution loopholes the EPA and the Bush administration had created for the energy companies.

Folks, here is a great quote from Eliot Spitzer.
"This is an enormous victory for clean air and for the enforcement of the law and an overwhelming rejection of the Bush administration's efforts to gut the law," said New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, who led the suit for the states. "It is a rejection of a flawed policy."
"It has been estimated that more than 20,000 Americans die prematurely each year from power plant pollution," he added. "As a result of this decision, that number should be reduced."
Here is my question. Spitzer has arguably done more than any politican in America to protect the environment and curtail the illegalities of corporate America. So why isn't he getting the love in the NetRoots?
I did a search on the site and his name only pulled up 140 references in Stories and Diaries in the past 6 months. Obama had 717. Dean had 2034.
I live in Seattle, and have no connection to Spitzer. I just find it odd that we talk up people like Obama, Warner, and Clark. Granted, Spitzer is an AG who can do things they can't. But doesn't this record of accomplishment, plus the fact that he will be Gov of NY in a few months, really make him a hugely credible national figure for us.
See my poll below on Spitzer.
