Hey Kossacks,
The end of the year is nigh, and I need to decide where my charitable donations are going. It's tough, since there are way too many deserving groups and no amount I give will ever be enough. But I would like to intelligently leverage the money I do give.
I want to donate to some environmental organizations, with the following parameters:
- They have to be radical enough to not just be a Democratic rubber stamp, but not so radical that they are ineffective.
- The earth is interconnected, but it seems to me that the rainforests and coral reefs are our most important and sensitive spots, so bonus points for organizations that focus on saving those areas.
- I am willing to consider any methods (lobbying, buying land, direct actions), but would love to hear arguments for which are the most effective.
Thanks for your opinions!
