Dear Senator Kerry,
The day after my 19th birthday I cast my first ballot for national office and voted to elect you as my senator. I have voted to elect you as my senator at every chance I've had. And I need you to be my senator again.
The Republican party has shown that it controls our television programming. They've shown that they will publicly flout congressional dissent. And they've shown that personal protectionism and petty partisanship are enough to kill congressional oversight of presidential malfesance.
I need you to take a stand in the Senate to put an end to this. You mustn't let a single opportunity pass to show that Democratic leaders will not tolerate this assault on our democracy. And you can't do this whil trying to run a presidential campaign.
Your voice in the senate has been muted in your attempt to win the Democratic nomination.
I do not support you in this attempt and I need a strong senator. You have left your constituency behind to chase an increasingly scant opportunity of advancement that has seen you reduced to name-calling and infighting. Please stop this. We need your stature and convictions too much, and every passing day in which you are less than a full-time senator you are doing a us a terrible disservice.
Thank you.
