It makes sense that WOMEN were the ones who questioned the election problems. We women had to fight tooth and nail for our right to vote, while white males take it for granted
In a historic move, California Senator Barbara Boxer signed a challenge by House Democrats to the certification of Ohio's 2004 presidential vote tally, thus forcing debate in both the house and the Senate and the House. Later, Boxer was the only Senator to vote to object.
As the debate was taking place in Washington voting rights activists gathered outside of Boxer's San Francisco office to show their support for her actions. Link
Thank You Barbara
Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., wipes away a tear as she announces with Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (news, bio, voting record), D-Ohio, that they will object to the certification of Ohio's electoral votes during a joint session of Congress today Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005. It would be only the second time since 1877 that the House and Senate were forced into separate meetings to consider electoral votes.
I already wrote Barbara Boxer thanking her for her courage! You can do the same here
