I have not seen this mentioned in a diary so if I missed it, forgive me. I have seen many people complaining that Kerry is not hitting back hard enough against the Swift Boat Liars.
This article is at the top of the CNN top stories:
They're a front for the Bush campaign. And the fact that the president won't denounce them tells you everything you need to know -- he wants them to do his dirty work," he told a cheering crowd at a meeting of the International Association of Fire Fighters in Boston.
"Of course, the president keeps telling people he would never question my service to our country. Instead, he watches as a Republican-funded attack group does just that. Well, if he wants to have a debate about our service in Vietnam, here is my answer: Bring it on!" Kerry challenged.
This strikes me as being the exact correct tact to take. Turn this back not against the SBVT but against Bush for letting others do his dirty work, and point out the contrast between Bush's avoidiance of service and Kerry's volunteering. The administration response in the article is pretty weak, I think this puts them on the defensive, but we need more.
P.S. I am an HTML novice, can someone help me by telling me what is the command to put quotes in the fancy shaded boxes? Thanks.
