People seem to always be speculating about who Dean might run with to make the strongest ticket, but I've never seen anyone mention Carol Moseley Braun. My impression is that the two get along well and speak glowingly of each other. When Sharpton attacked Dean in the debate today Braun defended him. Braun's former campaign manager, Andrea Pringle, is Dean's deputy campaign manager. Dean has mentioned his lack of experience in Washington and Braun was a Senator there. She'd also balance the ticket geographically, as she's from Illinois. She also might drive up the number of African Americans and women who vote. So why not?
Of course, my personal bet is on Graham, as he has Washington experience, has good relations with Dean, and is from Florida. Edwards would also be good, though he claims he wouldn't accept the #2 spot.
Still, any of the three would be good, giving the ticket geographic balance and Washington experience without depriving the Democrats of a seat in Congress or the Governership of a state.
