I just saw him on WVIT-30 and he said sheepishly he wanted a 50% troop pullout within a year. I couldn't believe my ears.
Lamont had just spoken before him and said Lieberman supported Bush's Iraq policy. Lieberman has all day been apologizing for his stance on Iraq. The people who will fall for this are Sean Smith's low-information voters. It's freaky.
Audio has been thankfully attached by Kestrel9000 below in this diary.
Lieberman's own words: "I hope that the troops can be out, begin to withdraw by the end of this year, and our troops, more than half, will be out by next year."
Am I wrong, or didn't he just in June vote against two Democratic proposals to focus on troop withdrawals?
