For the second time in less than a decade, America faces a "grave and gathering danger." But Bill O'Reilly isn't going to wait for a smoking gun in the form of health care reform or the Employee Free Choice Act to destroy this country, so he's ripping away the veil to expose a vast, left wing conspiracy.
Hi, I'm Bill O'reilly, thank you for watching us tonight. The vast left wing conspiracy fires up and that is the subject of this evening's Talking Points Memo.
According to excellent reporting by Politico.com, perhaps the best political web site in the world, organized hard left zealots join together in a daily morning conference call to discuss the day's events, coordinate briefings to the liberal media and design punishment for anyone criticizing President Obama or left wing doctrine in general. The group is hosted the Center for American Progress, led by John Podesta, a former Clinton advisor.
The Factor has learned that the intimidation cabal, entities receiving information from the morning call people, include Media Matters, elements at NBC News, and at the New York Times. So you can see the vast left-wing conspiracy, armed with unlimited funds and unlimited hatred, are gunning for anyone they deem a threat. This, ladies and gentlemen is a threat to America.
So, what have we learned about the conspiracy so far?
- That Bill O'Reilly thinks Politico is the best web site ever, a development that will no doubt thrill Politico.
- That the definition of "hard left zealots" is, Democrats.
- That the definition of "cabal" is, Democrats that talk to each other.
- That "unlimited hatred" is O'Reilly projecting.
- That we know what O'Reilly was probably doing Friday night.
And now, let's look at that reporting from Politico, about a daily conference call between "more than 20 labor, environmental and other Democratic-leaning groups":
The “8:45 A.M. call,” as it’s referred to by members, began three weeks ago, and it marks a new level in coordination by the White House’s allies at a time when the conservative opposition is struggling for a toe-hold and major agenda items like health care reform appear closer than ever to passage.
There, in a nutshell, is the conspiracy. Now normally a conspiracy is, by definition, a secret plan. In this case the nefarious plot to destroy America was uncovered when the the Center for American Progress' senior vice president for communications told the reporter at Politico about it. And from just that kernel of information, O'Reilly, drawing on his background as an investigative reporter, was able to expose the entire plot.
And with the help of Karl Rove, truly an expert on threats to America, O'Reilly gave his viewers a fair look at the evidence against the hate-filled cabal that will stop at nothing to destroy their enemies, followed by, for balance, the encouraging and positive way the Bush administration built bridges with their political adversaries.
Now, let's break down their analysis of the situation we're facing.
ROVE: But that begs the questions of, do the officials at C.A.P., John Podesta's operation, have conversations about these calls in advance of them, or after them, with members of the White House staff? And think about the juxtaposition of the timing. It's at 8:45 in the morning is when these intimidation calls take place. That's after they've had the morning staff meeting at 7:30 at the White House and time to digest it, and the question is, is there contact between somebody at the White House and somebody in John Podesta's operation or one of the other sponsors of this to help sort of coordinate the messaging for the day? And I would bet you a dime to a dollar that there is that kind of contact.
Aha! The White House has their morning meeting in the morning and the the cabal has their 8:45 a.m. call in the morning. Guilty!
OREILLY: And these people are -- they will do anything. They will smear. They will defame. They'll do anything at all. They'll hack. They'll do anything.
ROVE: We are going after the people who disagree with us. And she went out of her way to then give two examples of where they went after people who had the termidity to an opinion different than theirs. And that is, you know, that is, you know, that's sort of vaguely fascist in its attitude.
For those who haven't read the entire Politico piece, let me explain the lengths these fascists went to: In the first example, a conservative group opposing health care reform used a former health care executive as their spokesman. The conspirators pointed out to the media that he had been forced to resign from his company amid fraud charges. And in the second example, when a woman who had attacked Obama's health care plan, repeating the tactics she had used to attack Hillary Clinton's plan in 1993, it was noted that she sat on the board and was a stockholder in a medical device company. So O'Reilly is right. This group will stop at nothing. They'll even go so far as to google.
OREILLY: Well, this is what happened in Watergate, this was the whole Watergate thing. The Nixon White House used its power to go after the Nixon's enemies list and all of this. Now, I think it's too early to tie Barack Obama in with this, to be fair. His people may be involved.
Now some might say that comparing like-minded groups coordinating their message for maximum political clout, to a president guilty of "campaign fraud, political espionage and sabotage, illegal break-ins, improper tax audits, illegal wiretapping on a massive scale, and a secret slush fund laundered in Mexico to pay those who conducted these operations," along with obstruction of justice, to be a touch hyperbolic. Some might say it's delusional. Still others might suggest that it beats the hell out of the War on Christmas for rallying the faithful.
The rest? Well, it speaks for itself - although it should be noted that O'Reilly does deserve kudos here for his ability to not only ask these questions with a straight face, but to maintain his composure during Rove's answers (see, I can be fair and balanced too).
OREILLY: Now in the Bush White House did you guys ever threaten anybody that disagreed with you? Because they were legion, did you ever threaten anybody?
ROVE: Not that, not that, you know, not that I recall. But I mean, I can tell you for darn certain we didn't go after them as this woman boasted in the Politico piece. She boasted about how they went out out and slimed a couple of people.
OREILLY: So you can't remember, you never threatened or you guys out of the White House or your acolytes? Surrogates, never threatened anybody?
ROVE: No, look. Did we say to people, we hope that you'd be standing with us on this?
OREILLY: That's different. That's encouraging positive behavior, not threatening.
ROVE: Exactly, right.
OREILLY: So you never threatened?
ROVE: No.
OREILLY: All right, Mr. Rove. Thanks very much. We appreciate it coming up. Later, Glenn Beck now the target of the far left smear machine.
And so begins Bill O'Reilly's latest crusade. And you can be sure that tomorrow his outrage will have quadrupled, as he rails against the latest news about the growing conspiracy to destroy America. Because Unity '09, an alliance designed to:
... draw together money and grassroots organizations to pressure lawmakers in their home states to back White House legislation and other progressive causes.
... has formed, with MoveOn.org and the ACLU being involved. Clearly, America is entering the ninth circle of Hell.
Add to that the White House joining forces with the Democratic National Committee, utilizing their 10 million member database "to mobilize support for the president’s legislative agenda," and you have unions, environmentalists, civil rights groups and grassroots organizations, all working to help enact the agenda they voted for in November.
In the words of Bill O'Reilly, this, ladies and gentlemen is a threat to America.
