Kerry today
named a list of Defense advisors, which include Wes Clark, Lt. General Kennedy, and many others tipped to be invloved in a Kerry administration. In effect, this becomes his "shadow" defense team. Great move. I hope they all campaign vigrously and defend Kerry in the media from now until November.
Kerry also called for 40,000 new troops, doubling Special Forces capabilities, and redirecting the National Guard to become a homeland security force. All great moves, IMO. Outflanking the Bush Administration on Defense is one of the smartest things Kerry can do. And the flank is wide open, with the mess Rumsfeld has made. These are all smart proposals on their faces. Full list of advisors after the jump. Any comments on these names (besides the obvious ones)?
