The U.S. Senate will be voting this week to abolish this nearly 90-year-old tax that has already been reformed to only apply to inheritors of several million dollars.
The U.S. House has already passed this repeal, and President Bush will of course sign it.
There are a number of Democrats that support estate tax repeal, and there are a few Republicans who support retaining it. So a vote will be extremely close -- one or two votes will make the difference. These few senators need to know that their constituents are paying attention and care about fair financing of our federal government.
Please tell your senators that this is not time to be letting multi-millionaires off the hook when it comes to financing the vital needs of our society and government:
