Over at
New Voice for Nothern Virginia we've gathered responses to questions posed to the six candidates vying for a seat in the Virginia Legislature in the 45th district.
David Englin, Libby Garvey, Dick Hobson, and Laura Mandala responded to questions about their background, qualifications, campaign finance reform, even their political heros (and unlike our President, luckily not one of them pandered by saying Jesus). You can read all of their responses here.
There's been a fair amount of attention on the race locally, but not much talk about who the candidates are and where they stand on the issues. Since it's a democratic primary, they're actually remarkably similar in a lot of their issues, but who they are, how they're campaigning, and their backgrounds show a wide divide among the six candidates.
Of particular interest to Kossacks may be David Englin, whose neighbor and wife have even posted diaries here about the campaign.
