The Boston Herald reported today that Healy "was on Capitol Hill recently seeking advice about potential campaign managers." Although the bury this as the last line of the story this is proof that Mitt is not going to run. If he was going to run, why would she need a campaign manager???

GOP eyes Card for Bay State gov in '06
By Andrew Miga
Sunday, February 27, 2005
WASHINGTON - Speculation that Gov. Mitt Romney [related, bio] won't run for re-election is fueling talk in Bay State GOP circles of a possible 2006 gubernatorial bid by a high-profile replacement: White House Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card Jr.
``He would have instant credibility and the ability to raise a lot of cash quite quickly,'' said one Massachusetts Republican with close White House ties. ``Those are two vital assets in any campaign.''
Card's name is being mentioned among Republicans along with Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care CEO Charles D. Baker, a Cabinet secretary to former Gov. William F. Weld.
Card accompanied President Bush [related, bio] on his European trip last week and couldn't be reached. But a source close to Card said he currently is focused on serving Bush.
``I'm sure it is something Andy will look at,'' said the source. ``But it is not on his radar screen right now.''
While Card's candidacy is an open question, Baker and Healey appear likely to jump if Romney balks at re-election.
Baker has never run for elected office.
Healey has a thin political resume as well. Sources said she was on Capitol Hill recently seeking advice about potential campaign managers.
