The first debate of the Montana Senate race was held today in Whitefish. The papers don't have any complete reviews in yet, but the
Great Falls Tribune did have
this to say:
But mostly, the first one-on-one debate between Republican U.S. Sen. Conrad Burns and his Democratic challenger, state Sen. Jon Tester, featured clear and sharply worded ideological differences that will be repeated and refined through Nov. 7 in one of the most closely watched races in the country.
Slim pickings. But we're in luck, not only because Ed in Montana watched it, and has an excellent blow-by-blow here, but also because the debate is going to be replayed on C-SPAN tonight at 8:00 MDT (that's Mountain time for those of you who might not know), 10:00 EDT, and 7:00 PDT.
Update [2006-6-25 20:45:36 by mcjoan]: More linky goodness: the debate was liveblogged by jhwygirl. Thanks PsiFighter37, for the h/t.
