For the first time in many years, it looks like Montana will go for a democratic Governor. Brian Schwietzer is running for Governor and is ahead in the polls. He is running with a Republican Lt. Governor. The GOP cries foul on the fairness of a split ticket.
The plan worked and Brian is ahead. This is the state that loved Marc Racicot as the Governor for 8 years. Marc Racicot is now a RNC hitman for the administration. Amazing how things change. He lost a great deal of respect amoung his fellow Montanans for his partisan moves. His successor in 2000 was Republican Judy Martz. Judy Martz had to retire because of two seperate scandals. She bought some ranchland near her home from Atlantic Richfields Company in Butte Montana. Atlantic Richfield is a huge mining company. She got an amazing deal on the land. She bought it for a bargain in return for political favoritism. If you ever visit Butte, visit the Berkeley Pit. It is an environmental disaster. It will turn anyone into an environmentalist. Vistit www.pitwatch.org. Governor Martz also washed evidence off of her campaign workers clothing. He was in a drunk driving accident I believe, who fled from the scene. He was taken care off by Martz and her washing machine. She was running at 18 percent approval rating. This brings us to an action you can take today. At www.BillingsGazette.com you can take a poll. It doesn't need much help but you can still load it up for Brian Schwietzer. Vote.
