My congressman, John Kline, like many others, got money from Tom DeLay in the last election. However, to the best of my knowledge, he's never disclosed how much. So that leaves me having to guess.
Now, I'm not the best guesser, so I called his office for help. "Does the fact that the congressman still supports Tom DeLay mean that he got a lot of money?" I asked. They weren't sure. "Or does it mean that he's really easy to buy off?" They didn't like that one so much.
I guess if I were a congressman whose loyalty was for sale, I'd at least want to hold out for a good price.
I encourage others in red districts to call their congressperson, and play their own guessing game.
