It's getting too dense to keep track of. This must be a bit the way Germans felt 70 years ago as they realized their government had slipped away. Meanwhile there are several chances for activism, and optimism.
For one, make sure your Congressperson doesn't compromise on anti-torture rules. Any Defense Bill that lets "inhumane" treatment continue threatens our values, our citizens and our troops even more needlessly, and shouldn't be funded. If it won't make us safer, real patriots must vote against the Defense Bill.
As someone pointed out last week, it would be good to have a persistent, updatable calendar at DKos to track these things. The press has entirely stopped reporting on the missed Abu Ghraib photo release deadlines. Only georgia10 and the ACLU can track its status.
In lieu of a proper calendar, please copy, extend and update these entries in new diaries as Torture Month continues.
