The DINO from Louisiana speaks:
Count Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) as a "no" vote on the public insurance option.
"I am not open to a public option, however I will remain open to a compromise - a full compromise," Landrieu told reporters Tuesday. "A public option is not something I support i don't think its the right way to go."

This is why it's not enough just to have more Democrats in congress. Particularly in the Senate. What is needed is progressive Democrats, not DINOs like Landrieu. Yet the Senate is crawling with DINOs, and we waste our money either giving to their campaign of the DSCC.
I don't know what she means by "compromise." Must be a compromise between a bill written by the health insurers and one by big pharma.
People talk about 60. We don't even have 50 true Democrats in the senate. Until we do, all progressive legislation is at risk of defeat.
