Is Lieberman really going to run as an independent? Would the Democratic establishment who supported Joe in this primary really let this happen?
I am not surprised that Joe wants to run as an Independent.
I am devastated about what this means about the state of the Democratic Party.
Joe Lieberman was fully supported by the Democratic Party establishment during this primary even though he announced that he would run as an independent if he lost. Did these Democrats really support Lieberman knowing that he fully intended to run against the Democratic Party in the same election cycle.
Did nobody say to him that their support is contingent on him remaining as part of the Democratic Party during this election?
It appears right now that nobody did and that is just sad. Are we now stuck waiting for updated polls to determine if Joe will run or not?
Am I making too much of this? Is it common knowledge that Joe will not run? Will the heavyweights of the Democratic Party set Joe straight and force him to bow out gracefully in the next few days?
