Quinnipiac posted a new poll today on the 2009 New York City Mayoral race. The top Democratic candidate, Comptroller William Thompson, now only trails billionaire Mayor MIchael Bloomberg by 10 points. The poll shows Bloomberg leading 47-37.
Bill hasn't even released a TV ad yet but he has significantly closed the gap that had Bloomberg leading 54 - 32 percent in June. Bloomberg just keeps on spending money but losing voters.
This is great news and more will be coming in the weeks ahead. Bill is still the underdog. But the more people hear about Bill, the more they like him.
As a volunteer on Bill's campaign I know that the campaign is growing. We could use all the help we can get to bring real change to New York.
Bloomberg is buying himself a third-term and any money you could donate to Bill's campaign would be put to good use.
If the economic recession has taught us anything, it is that Wall Street cannot govern Main Street. New York needs a mayor for all New Yorkers.
Thanks for all your support
