Anchorage Daily News:
"We are not investigating her," FBI spokesman Eric Gonzalez said on Sunday. "Normally we don't confirm or deny those kind of allegations out there, but by not doing so it just casts her in a very bad light. There is just no truth to those rumors out there in the blogosphere."
Nobody should be disappointed by this news. If Sarah Palin were behind bars, how in the world would she be able to run for President in 2012? And who in their right mind would want to miss the comedy sure to come from that?
To be a bit tautological, if something bad is going to come out about Sarah Palin...it's going to come out. It can be fun to play the guessing game about what scandal might drop next, but it's worth remembering that Sarah Palin is a hilarious political train wreck with or without indictments.
And also too, politically, we're better off with Sarah Palin at the top of the GOP ticket in 2012 than Sarah Palin sitting in the can at San Quentin.
