At least that is what is now being reported in Salon.com
Conrad's communications director, Sean Neary, is saying the story is inaccurate. Apparently the primary source is a local paper that never quoted Conrad directly.
As you can see from the Salon article, Conrad still isn't exactly satisfying on the issue. Still, it does look like this story is not true, at least not at this time: Conrad has not said definitively he will not vote for a public option.
