Today I received news that I earnestly hoped I would never get. I want to turn back this moment and remove the dates that mark the passing of Teddy and end of an era.
I am simply too heartbroken like I have lost my closest family member. I never met him but I always called him Teddy because his interest and mine where so aligned.
I have been crying too much for those who value social justice most. I am hurting so bad for someone I was proud to follow as my unapologetic liberal leader in the search for social justice.
The contribution of Senator Kennedy on behalf of all of us is so huge to measure and yet he and his family did not have to give so much to this country.
Let history record that there are many of us ordinary people who have benefited from the efforts of Senator Kennedy and will always value his public service on so many fronts.
Senator Kennedy, thank you for you fight for social-justice and human rights and being unapologetic about your passions for justice for all.
On behalf of the poor and socio-economically marginalized, I can say that we will miss you Teddy, the great champion for human rights and social-justice.
Thank you Senator Kennedy for what you have done for us who needed you so much. You have fought a good fight!!
